First Community-wide Meeting
August 7, 2008

Over 100 citizens from the NFWMLTF area packed the East Regional Library meeting room for the first combined meeting about a community gas lease. Task Force Co-chairs, Glenn Neasbitt and Mike Dean, began by presenting the Task Force's purpose and intentions in negotiating a lease on behalf of the community and why community support and cohesiveness is so important to the total effort.
The meeting ran long as numerous questions were asked and answered. But before leaving, most attendees signed a Letter of Intent to indicate their participation in the community lease. For more information and pictures from the meeting, check out the August 28 edition of Greater Meadowbrook News. You can download an audio recording of the meeting at: 8/7/08 JTWNA Meeting

Blake Meadows and Emory Place On Board
July 9, 2008

The Homeowners Association of Blake Meadows, the DR Horton subdivision on Sandy Lane just north of I-30, voted to join the areas represented by the Task Force in our community lease.

Emory Place (off of John T. White) residents who own their mineral rights are also on board with NFWMLTF. This group includes residents on Seton Hall Drive, Coppin Drive, and Marist Drive - about 40 homes.

Fort Worth Public Hearing
June 10, 2008

Members of the Northeast Fort Worth Mineral Leasing Task Force attended the City of Fort Worth 2008 Gas Drilling Task Force Public Hearing last evening at City Council Chambers. Representing the NFWMLTF were Mike Dean, Glenn Neasbitt, Sally Neasbitt, DeDe Smith, and Paula Robertson.

After the city task force presented a review of their proposed revisions to the noise regulations and protected use definitions, residents were allowed to speak. Mike Dean spoke about the very real impact that drilling is having on his personal health and safety. Many, many other citizens related personal experiences, observations, and truisms that affect us all as "Citizens of" Fort Worth, Texas, USA, NOT Citizens of a rock...
